About This

  • B12 is involved in red cell formation and in the production of serotonin, a chemical responsible for regulating mood. Some studies have shown B12 to decrease homocysteine levels, possibly supporting a reduced risk of heart disease. B12 also helps the body transform food into energy, supporting optimal energy levels for the body.
  • Vitamin B6 benefits the central nervous system by aiding in the production of the neurotransmitters serotonin and norepinephrine, and in forming myelin. Vitamin B6 is also needed for neuron transmission in the brain and may help boost brain performance with memory.
  • Folate is a B vitamin needed in the human body for the production of red blood cells and as support for brain and mood health. Folic Acid is a synthesized version commonly used in supplements. As a large percentage of women have a defect in their MTHFR gene that doesn’t allow them to properly convert Folic Acid into active Methylfolate, it is preferable to take Methylfolate to reap the important benefits.
